Very pleased to see Joseph Schmitt and Brad Dougherty’s incredible implementation of Sencha Touch to build the Vimeo Awards Festival app. Joseph modified our default theme to match the Vimeo brand, and used LocalStorage to let users save their own favorite sessions.

A few weeks ago, the always eloquent Ed Spencer gave a talk about Sencha Touch at Pivotal Labs. For 29 minutes, Ed has the floor to demo building a simple Sencha Touch app. It’s well worth your time if you want to figure out if our mobile application framework is for you.

Resolution Independent Mobile UI »
David Kaneda explains a technique to create a scalable, resolution independent user interface in our latest Sencha Blog post. A similar technique was used for Sencha Touch.
Tommy Maintz has been vigorously stomping out bugs and improving Sencha Touch over the past month. In the latest release, 0.93β, he has overhauled the carousel to feature smoother interactions, better support for dynamic loading, and gained some significant speed improvements, particularly in Android.
